Business Analyst – New York

Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in high-value payments workflows, Volante VolPay configuration, and ISO20022 payment messages. The analyst will play a critical role in gathering requirements, designing, testing, implementing, and supporting enterprise payment solutions. This position involves working closely with business users, implementation teams, and technology partners to ensure seamless deployment and ongoing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation – Conduct interviews, define business requirements, and document technical specifications, including user stories.
  • Payments Workflow Testing – Validate Volante VolPay configurations and support SIT, UAT, and release validation for high-value payments workflows.
  • Payment Message Standardization – Map bank-specific data requirements to Fedwire ISO20022, SWIFT MT/MX, and other payment message types.
  • Hosting Portal & Reporting Management – Oversee the hosting portal and comprehensive services reporting.
  • Post-Implementation Support – Collaborate with business users and hosting partners to design, develop, test, and deploy system enhancements, bug fixes, and upgrades.
  • Agile Collaboration – Work closely with development teams, Scrum Masters, and product owners in agile environments, ensuring smooth sprint planning and effective delivery.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in high-value payments workflow testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Volante VolPay configuration and SIT/UAT/Release validation.
  • Deep understanding of Fedwire ISO20022, SWIFT MT/MX, and payment hub implementations.
  • Experience capturing and mapping bank-specific data requirements for payment message types.
  • Strong background in requirements management, conducting interviews, and documentation of technical/user requirements.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Microsoft Excel, Visio, and other business analysis tools.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience managing hosting portals and reporting for enterprise payment solutions.
  • Knowledge of canonical message structures and data mapping for payment schemes.
  • Previous experience supporting large-scale payment technology implementations.
